CVAC Services Update
With the latest New York State regulations, it is necessary for CVAC to close our offices. We are still offering counseling and advocacy via phone and video chat. Hospital advocacy, family court support, and safety planning for victims is still being offered 24/7 and will take place over the phone or messaging. New and existing clients can schedule with us by contacting our business line or 24/7 support line. Existing clients may also directly contact their counselor or case manager via email.
Connect with us virtually!
During this global crisis, social distancing is the number one recommendation, encouraging people to stay home. Unfortunately, home is not a safe place for everyone. You can reach a trained CVAC advocate 24/7 by calling us at (607) 722-4256. If you are unable to safely and freely speak, we also have a text line (607) 725-8196. Please note that while we do our best to answer as quickly and as often as possible, the text line is not 24/7.
In order to be responsive to a growing need for virtual advocacy and support, we have just established a new way to connect with CVAC via an online web chat service available by clicking the link below. Similarly to the text line, this function is not 24/7 but we will do our best to respond as quickly as possible.

Whether using text or live chat, always consider the safety of doing so if you have reason to believe your device is being monitored.

Online Safety Resources
With more time likely to be spent online both for adults, teens, and children, it is important to be mindful of safety. General internet safety considerations include avoiding communication with unknown persons, avoiding opening links or documents from suspicious or unknown accounts, and always doing a thorough look into the privacy, safety, and reporting functions available on each website, app, or other platform. For those with children at home, this is an especially critical time to monitor children’s usage and talk with them about privacy and safety online. Check out the resources below!
